Chromosphere: The Color Theory Podcast

Faculty member Ed Charbonneau has launched Chromosphere: The Color Theory Podcast.

This podcast presents a series of conversations about color, color usage, and optics as they relate to theories of human color perception in the making of visual art and design.

Weekly episodes, released each Tuesday, will focus on a range of topics, such as the properties of light and color vision; the many primary colors (red, green, blue, yellow, cyan, and magenta); Is Indigo the Pluto of Hues?—Sir Isaac Newton and the visible spectrum; Mary Gartside and the Colour Ball; coding efficiency and the use of value contrasts as focal points; and chromostereopsis—how human depth perception may contribute to chromatic focal points.
