I love writing essays, and I chose excerpts from my best ones to submit. Do you have a favorite piece you've made?I love my poem called Self Portrait! It's about a small moment in high school when I was drawing a self-portrait, and the paper accidentally fell onto the floor. I wrote it so it can be read in multiple ways: left to right, top to bottom, or just the bolded words! Each way tells a similar narrative that contributes to the larger whole. I'm hoping to take more creative writing courses or incorporate worded narrative into my painting practice. Explore more about Ella Ratliff
