2023 Merit Scholarship Recipient: Aubrey Hart

Describe the work you submitted for merits.

I submitted a wide range of work from my time as an MCAD student! I chose the projects I felt were strongest from each of the classes I took in my first year of the program. These projects range from typography to video to web, a small peek at everything I have learned so far as an MCAD graduate student.

What made you choose to come to MCAD for your MA?

I moved to Minneapolis in 2021 and wanted to feel more connected to the city. I knew I needed a flexible online program, but I also knew that MCAD would provide me with a stronger connection to my new city. Growing up in the Midwest I've always had reverence for the MCAD name and knew it was a school I would be proud to have a degree from.

What is the MCAD online learning experience like?

Flexible and engaging!

What inspires you? 

Funny things, natural things, and the other students in my cohort have inspired me greatly over the last year.
