Then, it was all computer science due to growing interest in the field. Interest grew from six students to more than 170 students in twelve years. Reinartz was awarded a Processing Fellowship and has earned the National Center for Women in Information Technology (NCWIT) Aspirations in Computing Educator Award. He has also won the College Board's AP Computer Science Female Diversity Award, an award that “recognizes schools that are closing the gender gap and expanding young women's access to computer science coursework in AP Computer Science."
