Her children’s book art uses research to build believable worlds, highlight relationships, and consider topics related to collective memory. Her work has been recognized by American Illustration, Communication Arts, Creative Quarterly, 3×3, International Library Association, American Booksellers Association, Bank Street College of Education, the New York Public Library, Kirkus, Bank Street College of Education, Applied Arts, and the Junior Library Guild. She previously held positions as the Director of Archives and Publications for Castelli Gallery and co-owner and content editor of Carrier Pigeon: Illustrated Fiction and Fine Art literary journal.
