Faculty Title Adjunct Faculty Education MFA, Parsons The New School for Design Julia Vallera is a technology and design consultant who creates and implements digital media solutions for organizations such as Mozilla, Brooklyn Arts Council, Digital Opportunity Trust, Burlington City Arts, Metropolitan New York Library Council, and Burlington Telecom, to name a few. She explores how open source projects, mixed-media, motion graphics, public outreach, and installation design can enhance communities, both in-person and online. Her work encourages participation and storytelling through artistic experimentation. Vallera received her MFA in Design and Technology from Parsons The New School for Design. Her work has appeared in several festivals, conferences, and publications including Burlington City Arts; Allied Media Conference; The New Museum Ideas City Festival; Brooklyn Arts Council; Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit; Libre Learn Lab; and Mozilla Festival.
