McCourt is interested in empowering young artists to find their own voice and artistic passion through risk taking, experimentation, and reflection. McCourt strives to create a supportive, student centered classroom environment that balances structure with creative freedom. McCourt’s current artistic practice is focused on soft sculpture, mythology, and merging the weird with the whimsical.
