Describe what you do for work and how your experience with it has been.

As a Senior Creative Designer, my job is equal parts creativity and problem-solving: taking rough ideas, refining them, and turning them into something people connect with. Consider I’m the bridge between ideas and visuals—helping teams turn concepts into eye-catching, meaningful designs. Over the years, I’ve loved collaborating with different teams, tackling design challenges, and seeing how strong visuals can elevate a brand’s presence, whether through branding, digital assets, or marketing materials, making sure everything looks cohesive and tells the right story.

Where are you originally from and how did you hear about MCAD?

I was attending a Christian college in Pensacola FL, and I first heard about MCAD through my own research while looking for schools with strong Graphic Design programs.

What was your major and how did you choose it?

Graphic Design. Before college, I realized I wanted to be on a creative career path—and graphic design was what I felt most drawn to.

Who was your favorite faculty member and why?

My professor Kindra Murphy, and my mentor Becky Bates from Career Development

Describe your internship(s).

New Face Magazine. It's a fashion brand specializing in digital fashion magazine and newsletters.

Best thing you ever found on the free shelf?

Vinyl records! And I used them for my living room wall decoration

Did MCAD prepare you for life after graduation? In what way?

I remember the career development team was a huge help—they guided me through so much after graduation. Of course, the knowledge I gained from experienced professors and industry professionals throughout college also helped tremendously.

Your biggest takeaway from MCAD?

MCAD taught me that art and design are forms of expression—just like music. There is no race, sex, or nationality in creativity; therefore, there are no boundaries or limits. Be the artist or designer you desire, be proud and passionate, BE YOU :)

How do you network yourself and your art?

I use LinkedIn to continuously grow my professional network—both for myself and my brand. For my art, I leverage social media and consistently update my portfolio website.
