Turn everyday materials into extraordinary wearable art. Open to ages 12 to 15. Course descriptionDesign and build wearable costumes, accessories, and props using foam modeling, 3D construction, armatures, hot glue methods, and recycled/upcycled materials. Through demos and guided practice, experiment with foam shaping and techniques, simple armatures, 3D paper construction, prop-making, and surface painting for textile effects. Explore cosplay history and culture, develop a character or persona, and translate those ideas into costume design choices. This open-ended course welcomes big ideas, experimentation, and resourceful improvising with found materials. / Material fee of $10 included in course tuition. Open to students ages 12 to 15.
