Course descriptionThis course covers the construction of two sketchbook/watercolor journals: a 24-page soft-cover book made from a single sheet of paper, and and a 192-page hard-cover book that is easy to replicate at home. Build a foundational knowledge of bookbinding materials, tools, and techniques, which includes constructing a cradle for punching book signatures to keep for future use. Class time includes working through a series of prompts to experiment with drawing, watercolors, and sketching within the space of the finished books. / A materials fee of $52 is included in the course tuition.Open to students ages 16 and above.
