Over the years the Procreate app has become more and more sophisticated and an industry standard for digital illustration and graphic design. Course descriptionLearn the basics of drawing with Procreate on an iPad. First, become familiar with the user interface of the app. Next, learn more advanced skills that can bring digital drawing skills to a new level: such as how to import and use third-party brushes, add in reference layers, or create palettes from photos! Through demonstrations and hands-on practice, learn how to utilize the most portable and convenient tool of an iPad to create a variety of artwork. Each session focuses on a real-world project scenario: such as a self-portrait, landscape drawing, or a short animation gif. Class sessions include demonstrations relevant to the project scenario and studio time for students to experiment and play. During studio time the instructor is available to provide assistance and feedback. Students have the opportunity to share their work and get inspired by one another.Open to students ages 16 and above. Class meeting detailsThis online course will be synchronous, meaning students will meet together online. Class meetings will be conducted via Zoom and will consist of lectures, demonstrations, exercises, and time to ask questions and share resources.
