TEACHING PHILOSOPHY & MENTORSHIPAs an educator and mentor, I strive to create a supportive learning environment where care, self-reflection, and risk-taking are valued. My approach is learner-centered, as students and mentees design their own journey to creating meaningful work. My goal is to foster personal and artistic growth by helping students navigate their interests, aspirations, and needs, while encouraging creative problem solving, analysis, and discovery of new possibilities. Additionally, I enjoy building bridges and connecting students to the local arts community to develop additional sources of support and spark potential collaboration.PAST/CURRENT MENTEESMeher Khan ’24Lauren Alfaro ’23Anda Tanaka ’22Ivone Yanez ’23
