Awe Inspiring Art Books (Bookmaking and Printmaking) (in person) | Minneapolis College of Art and Design

Awe Inspiring Art Books (Bookmaking and Printmaking) (in person)

In this class focused on handmade books, explore traditional and non-traditional book forms. Create books that pop out and up, become stage sets, hold treasures, are wearable, and so many more. Ages 9–12

Create book covers and end papers with printing techniques including marbling, relief print, decorative stitching techniques, and photo transfers. Students may choose to fill their books with their own writing, art work, or let the books do the storytelling for themselves. These books are more than your average library shelf filler. At the end of the week, families and friends are invited to view the students’ work in a group exhibition.

Open to students ages 9-12. MCAD strictly adheres to these age guidelines and is unable to allow exceptions. Please review our complete Summer Youth Camps Policies as well as our General Policies before completing your registration. Information about extended care options through Children's Theatre Company are included in the Summer Youth Camps Policies page.
