Video Game Fundamentals (Section 1) (in person)

Learn the fundamentals of game design while adding concepts and characters to make a one of a kind video game.

Students create their own platform or scrolling video game using the popular Unity game engine. Using provided starter templates, participants learn basic game mechanics, coding techniques, and asset creation. Completed projects will be playable on phones, tablets, or computers via the web. Students will be using Adobe Photoshop to create assets to personalize their game design.

Open to students ages 12-15. MCAD strictly adheres to these age guidelines and is unable to allow exceptions. Please review our complete Teen Policies as well as our General Policies prior to completing your registration.

Required supplies

Pen or pencil; notebook or sketchbook; USB drive or cloud storage option for saving work.
