Creative Writing: Potential Careers

MCAD Career Development can help you find work and help employers find you. In addition to job listings, the staff is available to meet one-on-one with students and alumni to assist with career development. Services include assistance writing and editing resumes, cover letters, and other professional correspondences; career exploration and industry research; interviewing practice; networking strategies; and industry-specific practices.

Art Critic

Analyzes and evaluates works of art, exhibitions, and artists for publications, blogs, or broadcast media. Uses strong writing and analytical skills to interpret visual art and communicate insights to the public.

Author

Creates original written works such as novels, short stories, essays, or poetry. Develops unique voices and narratives that engage readers and express ideas through language and storytelling.

Book Artist

Combines writing and visual design to create handmade or artistically produced books. Explores the book as both a literary and visual art form, integrating text, imagery, and structure.

Brand Storyteller
