Zamira Mendoza Invites Artists to 2026 Creative Laureate Program

Zamira Mendoza ’24, is excited to share that the City of Red Wing, MN Arts & Culture Commission’s new 2026 Creative Laureate Program. Artists and culture-bearers from across Southeastern Minnesota and nearby Wisconsin are invited to share their project ideas with the board and apply to receive an honorarium of up to $1,200 to support their creative endeavors. Projects can vary across a wide range of artistic disciplines, such as: painting a community mural, creating an interactive art installation, performing poetry or music in town, etc.

The goal of the program is to pay it forward by supporting emerging artists in their creative journey and bringing our community together through their work. The application period opens from March 1 to March 23.
