Her work explores the pervasiveness of technology in her life at a young age, as well as the intrusiveness of it in our everyday lives. Her sculpture practice turns the hours they’d spend on their phone into a tangible and impactful work of art.One Installation piece on view invites viewers to stick their head into a box of mirrors with flashing lights and computerized noises for a curated overstimulating experience. This new exhibit builds on her previous work and explorations at MCAD, using immersive environments, video, and sculpture to reflect the duality of existing in a digital and physical space.Default Mode NetworkCreating Change Gallery(Rochester, MN)August 2–September 19, 2025Learn moreEmerging Minneapolis artist Nina Rivera holds up mirror to our culture of overstimulation(sahanjournal.com—August 22, 2025)Default Mode Network(mplsart.com) Explore more about Nina Rivera
