Ngân Huỳnh ’23 Launches Children’s Book Kickstarter

Ngân Huỳnh ’23 has launched a Kickstarter campaign to fund their debut children’s book, When We’re Under the Same Roof, a project rooted in themes of childhood, memory, and cultural identity.

A Vietnamese illustrator based in Minneapolis, Huỳnh draws inspiration from mythology, fairy tales, and family storytelling traditions. Their work often transforms everyday moments into vivid, imaginative narratives. In addition to creating brand identities and website designs, Huỳnh has contributed illustrations to several publications, including Paranoid Tree and Blue Marble Review: Anthology Volume 2.

When We’re Under the Same Roof marks Huỳnh’s first foray into children’s literature. The book explores what it means to return both physically and emotionally to the places and people that shape one’s sense of self. Inspired by Huỳnh’s own childhood and Vietnamese cultural background, the story aims to resonate with readers across generations.
