Lindsay Nohl ’03 collaborated with the Minneapolis Institute of Art (Mia) and Minnesota Aurora FC to design the club’s 2026 jersey. The partnership between Mia and Aurora began as a potential sponsorship discussion but evolved into a broader creative collaboration centered on art, sport, and community.

The design, aptly titled Flora, draws inspiration from Minnesota’s natural environment, including depictions of native wild flowers and wild rice underneath a starry night sky. The artwork merges these elements into a continuous, immersive landscape. “I chose to blend them into a field of foliage… bringing together these strong, important icons in one space,” Nohl explained.

The project was initiated by Bobby Rogers ’14, Mia’s Head of Design and Editorial, who reached out to Nohl, his former professor at MCAD, to bring the concept to life.

Merchandise with the design is available on Aurora’s website, with 15% of the proceeds to be donated to the Immigrant Law Center of Minnesota.
