Jack Becker ’77 wrote about the 32nd International Sculpture Conference (ISC) that will be hosted at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design from October 22–25, 2026. The conference brings together sculptors, public artists, educators, students, and fabricators for panels and discussions. The conference tackles modern issues in the contemporary sculpture scene including public engagement, cultural memory, and the evolving role of artists within the community.

Alongside the program, participants can partake in portfolio reviews, workshops, and demonstrations, and explore the Twin Cities’ notable public art spaces. Attendees will be able to visit the Franconia Sculpture Park, and join in at a Party and Pour at Chicago Avenue Fire Arts Center located in George Floyd Square.
