How/why did you choose your area of study?

To solve problems in beatiful ways

Describe the work you submitted for merits.

My work at MCAD has explored a wide variety of materials. Recently I've focused on refining my design language. I've been working with natural materials to create playful and elegant products that are beautiful objects fulfilling a utilitarian purpose.

Why did you decide to come to MCAD?

I came to MCAD after receiving a technical degree from minneapolis college. My goal at MCAD was to develop as an artist by mastering crafts and create strong narratives.

What's next for your practice? Anything you're really excited to make?

I would like to explore leather construction further. With leather craft I would like to create cherished products that showcase the care and expertise of construction.

Favorite thing about college life (so far)?

I love the broad range of challenges that are presented in the classroom. The most engaging classes push the limits of students and create a wide range of results leading to significantly learning from peers.

What inspires your creative self?

I am inspired by the heritage and exploration of craft.
