Why did you decide to come to MCAD?

I chose MCAD after attending National Portfolio Day during my senior year. The school is in my home state, and MCAD has a comics program, unlike a lot of the other colleges I was looking at.

How/why did you choose your area of study?

I chose comics because they are genuinely fun to make, and I couldn't pass up the opportunity to build my professional portfolio under the guidance of the awesome professors here at MCAD.

Describe the work you submitted for merits.

The work I submitted is a range of mediums I experimented with throughout the year. I chose these works because I felt they were successful representations of my progress, passion, and developed style for my Freshman year.

What's next for your practice? Anything you're really excited to make?

I'm really excited to write more stories and turn them into comics.

Favorite thing about college life (so far)?

I love spending time with my roommates and D&D group; they are by far the best thing about college.

What inspires your creative self?

I'm usually very story and character-driven. When I get a good idea for a character, I need to get it down.
