Why did you decide to come to MCAD?

I chose to attend MCAD because I really liked its curriculum and I won’t lie, animation programs can be expensive. I feel that this school offers a more reasonable cost compared to other institutions

How/why did you choose your area of study?

I like to convey messages through my stories that truly connect with people.

Describe the work you submitted for merits.

These are three pieces I’ve worked on during my time at MCAD, at least for now, I consider them my strongest work. My favorite films come from Studio Ghibli, which might be one of the reasons most of my protagonists are young girls. I feel like it’s through their eyes that the ordinary can become something extraordinary.

What are your plans for your senior year? And beyond?

I want to finish my animated short and keep building my portfolio while applying for jobs at the same time. And maybe, who knows, a few years down the line with a lot of hard work, I’d love open a small indie animation studio. Wish me luck, I’ll need it.

Favorite thing about college life (so far)?

The students and professors have all been very kind to me, and the environment is really welcoming.

What inspires your creative self?

Music and a good movie at night with some popcorn.

What's the best thing you've found on the Free Shelf?

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, my nonstick pan.

Lastly, do you have a favorite question we didn't ask? Tell us and answer it!

Cats or dogs? Both, each is amazing in their own way. I genuinely can’t choose.
