Her work critically engages questions of identity, memory, and displacement, with a particular focus on the concept of “home” as both a physical and psychological site. Manneberg’s recent series, Power Play, responds to contemporary personal and geopolitical crises, examining the layered destruction of home—across domestic, national, and relational spheres.TEACHING PHILOSOPHY & MENTORSHIP What I value most about the MFA mentoring program at MCAD is its emphasis on individualized, process-based growth rooted in experimentation and cross-disciplinary dialogue. My teaching philosophy centers on the value of surprise and the transformative power of working directly with materials, concepts, and people. I thrive in mentoring relationships that challenge conventional boundaries and foster risk-taking, and I believe deeply in helping artists integrate research with intuitive making. As a mentor, I aim to support students in developing confidence in their creative voices by encouraging technical exploration, critical reflection, and cultural awareness—preparing them to contribute meaningfully to their communities and contemporary discourse.
