How long ago did you graduate from MCAD?

10+ years

Where are you originally from and how did you hear about MCAD?

Minneapolis, A high school advisor suggested I contact the Minneapolis School of Art

What was your major and how did you choose it?

Painting/Assemblage

Who was your favorite faculty member and why?

Aribert Munzner. His knowledge and communication skills were stellar.

Did MCAD prepare you for life after graduation? In what way?

I was awarded a full tuition grant for the MFA program at Pratt Institute. I lived in New York during the reign of the Velvet Underground and Andy Warhol. It was very exciting.

Your biggest takeaway from MCAD?

I loved my four years at the Minneapolis School of Art. At age 83, I am still an inspired artist and work daily on my drawings which are on display in several galleries. I have, over the years, shared my inspiration and skills with many of my students.

What inspires you/your work?

My personal perspective of the rural New England environment.

How do you network yourself and your art?

Through my website and galleries. I am building a website that will present a wide range of my artwork and the opportunity for purchasing online.
