Describe what you do for work and how your experience with it has been.

I am a creative strategist that specializes in environmental design, graphic design, event planning and community development. It has been a challenge and an adventure. With so much skill, but a small network, being a creative professional is not for the weak.

How did you get your job?

I made it since my inability to perfectly fit into corporate culture kept outweighing the skill I brought to the table.

What inspires you/your work?

I have a lot of ideas. The fact the I have the chance to get paid to execute them is inspiring enough.

How do you network yourself and your art?

I go to conferences and just initiate meetings with people that seem aligned.

Where did you earn your undergraduate degree, and what was it in?

Syracuse University, BFA in Environmental Design

How did you hear about MCAD?

From a prior student

Why did you choose to earn an MA at MCAD?

It aligned with my undergraduate degree. I wanted a smaller/more close knit school, The asynchronous program was ideal for my schedule.

What was your biggest takeaway from the program?

The program as a whole was a very progressive way to make organizations more human centered and autonomous.

What was the online education like?

B- We could've used more interaction with the professors.

How has the MA impacted your career/your life?

It helped me create my current business, KIJIJI and understand the route I wanted to take in my career.

How do you incorporate creative leadership into your everyday life? What advice do you have for others to do the same?

I honor the earth, practice authenticity and create spaces for others to do the same.

What would you tell students considering pursuing an MA degree in Creative Leadership?

If it feels aligned, go for it.
