Image Faculty Title Adjunct Faculty Education MA, University of Minnesota Tom Westbrook is an artist, teacher, designer, craftsman, and writer. He studied architecture, studio arts, and art history at the University of Minnesota, where he is an adjunct assistant professor of architecture, teaching on materials and processes, architecture and film, and public interest and sustainable design. He also teaches a visual geometry class at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design. Westbrook has written for Threshold and Quodlobitica and is working on a book about geometry and art. He designs and builds custom, one-of-a-kind furniture at Willie Willette Works. He also practices design and fabrication as the founder of Realize Studios in Minneapolis, designing and fabricating objects from the size of a toaster to a house and investigating ancient and traditional drawing, design, and fabrication techniques.
