In 2019, faculty member Kristin Solid worked as an animation supervisor on the Chinese live-action feature film 侍神令 [The Yin Yang Master], working with a global team of animators via the Los Angeles based company Tau Films. The studio recently released the first trailer, with the film scheduled for theatrical release in 2021.

Solid has animated and supervised on over 20 Hollywood feature films. Before her work on The Ying Yang Master, she worked at Rhythm and Hues, ILM (Transformers), Weta (King Kong), and, Tim Burton’s 9.
