Image Faculty Title Adjunct Faculty Education MFA, University of Minnesota; BA, Stanford University Nicholas "Bly" Pope is a visual artist and art instructor. He graduated from Stanford University and received his Master of Fine Arts degree at the University of Minnesota, where he has been an adjunct professor for four years, teaching the classes Graphic Novel Illustration and Artistic Interpretation from Vintage Cinema. He is an experienced studio artist with a continuing interest in photo-realism and traditional fine arts. His work has been shown and awarded in numerous exhibitions and has been purchased by The Cafesjian Museum of Fine Art in Armenia. His drawing, Maryanna, was recently selected to be a part of the National Portrait Competition Exhibition at the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery throughout 2013/14. Pope has also taught advanced drawing at The Perpich Center for Arts Education for three years and worked as a substitute teacher for The Blake School, Breck School, and Saint Paul Academy for three years. He has taught art and screenwriting at the Young Authors Conference to middle school and high school students for seven years.
