Faculty Title Instructor Education BFA, State University of New York MFA, New Mexico State University Frank J. Meuschke maintains a multidisciplinary studio practice centered on landscape. He graduated with his BFA in painting from the State University of New York in 1993 and received his MFA in painting with a minor in landscape studies from New Mexico State University in 2000. Recent solo and group exhibitions of his work include Invisible Present at Rosalux Gallery in Minneapolis, Intersection 53 at the Waseca Arts Center in Waseca, MN, Arcadia: On the Contemporary Pastoral at the Mills Gallery, Boston, MA, and Rising Waters at the Museum of the City of New York. He has participated in several artist residencies including Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture, ME, MacDowell, NH, Cedar Creek Ecosystem Science Reserve, MN, Weir Farm National Historic Site, CT, and Henry Street Settlement, NYC. Meuschke is a recipient of a Minnesota State Arts Board Artist Initiative Grant in 2018 and 2021, Stobart Foundation Grant, Socrates Emerging Artist Fellowship and National Arts Strategies Future Leadership Fellowship. His new series of photographs, titled Polyethylene, reveal landscapes of sensuous uncertainty.
