Colin "Co" O'Neill began his media career at Will Vinton Studios (now Laika) in the animation editorial department. His experience there led to an assistant sound editor and technician position at Lucasfilm's Skywalker Sound, where he worked on films such as Fight Club, Galaxy Quest, and the Star Wars prequels. After moving back to Portland, he wrote and produced two award-winning feature length films, sold several screenplays, and self-published a novella. O'Neill also began teaching at the Art Institute of Portland in 2004 where he redesigned the audio and filmmaking curriculum and created a new visual effects BFA. O'Neill has held game design and visual effects camps for junior high and senior high school students. He was featured in Wired magazine's "Geek Dad" column in 2012 for his work with tweens and narrative technologies.
