Create your own custom clothing at this wearable art inspired camp! Students will learn how to do Shibori indigo dyeing, screenprinting, embroidery and will even create a custom hat! The focus will be on pattern and shape as students decorate their own t-shirts and totes. The class will take a field trip to the Minneapolis Institute of Art to explore how artists creatively make their own wearable art. On the final Friday we’ll have a fashion show to show off our unique and inspired wearable creations! / Open to students ages 6-9. MCAD strictly adheres to these age guidelines and is unable to allow exceptions. / View complete registration policies. Need extended care for your child during the day? The Children’s Theatre Company next door offers morning and afternoon care for MCAD camp participants.

What to bring: Please bring a packed lunch, snacks, and a water bottle each day.

What to wear: Clothes appropriate for messy creativity.

If the minimum enrollment is not met by the deadline above, the class will be canceled on this date. Registration will remain open after this date if the minimum enrollment has been met.
