Pre-College Weekend Intensive: Painting

Experience an MCAD studio class in two-days during this hands-on intensive painting workshop. Over one weekend, students will create a variety of painting projects based on college level methodologies. Projects will focus on painting from observation with forays into color and material experimentation. Additional activities will include: technical demonstrations by the instructor; guest artist lectures; discussions about studio practice and possible careers; as well as an information session with admissions counselors about portfolio development. This class is a great opportunity for young artists to learn and work in an immersive studio class environment. / Materials fee of $40 in addition to tuition. / Open to students ages 15–18. / View complete policies.

Prerequisites: Previous drawing and painting experience helpful, but not required.

What to bring: Pen or pencil; notebook or sketchbook; packed lunch each day. The materials fee for this class will cover the required supplies.

What to wear: Clothes appropriate for messy creativity.

If the minimum enrollment is not met by the deadline above, the class will be canceled on this date. Registration will remain open after this date if the minimum enrollment has been met.
Class Savings
