Title:
Introduction to Printmaking: Interstellar Inspirations
Price:
$188.00

Throughout history artists have examined the space beyond the earth, reflecting on the relationship between humans and the universe. Students will discover how artists take inspiration from astronomy to the space age, including the moon walk (Andy Warhol), the cosmos (Wassily Kandinsky), the night sky (Georgia O'Keefe and Vincent Van Gogh) and the constellations (Joan Miro). Each student will have the opportunity to develop and execute a variety of prints to display and share.

MCAD's professional printshop will be open for exploration and students will discover how printmaking techniques and methods can be utilized to express their individual artistic visions. Demonstrations will be given in relief, monoprinting and etching techniques that will both inform and inspire. / Facilities fee of $23 and materials fee of $35 in addition to class tuition. / Open to students ages 12–15. MCAD strictly adheres to these age guidelines and is unable to allow exceptions. / View complete registration policies.
