Title:
High Speed Art (Art Inspired by Transportation)
Instructor:
Price:
$300.00

Zoom away into the unknown! In this class, students will explore and create different modes of transportation. What would a race car of the future look like? How would you design your own spaceship? What kinds of worlds could futuristic vehicles transport us to? Pushing the boundaries of imagination, students will create spaceships, cars, trains, boats, and more while also constructing fantasy landscapes for our vehicles to travel across. For inspiration, students will dive into the work of artists such as Vincent Van Gogh, Mobius, Roger Dean, and others. The class will take a trip to the Minneapolis Institute of Art to see where artists go to get inspiration, and maybe even to peek at some futuristic vehicles. The week will end with a fun exhibition for families and friends to celebrate these artists and their speedy creations! / Open to students ages 9-12.
