Exploring Color: Special Topic in Drawing

Explore color theory and discover different approaches and applications to add color to drawings with different mediums. The myriad of mediums will be studied historically, technically, and creatively, with demonstrations, presentations, and hands-on exercises and projects. Students will work with soft, hard, and oil pastels, pencils, and colored inks. Individual voices will be fostered and encouraged; subject matter will vary according to personal interest. / Materials fee of $5 in addition to course tuition. / Open to students ages 18 and above. / View complete policies.

Prerequisites: Previous drawing and/or painting experience.

What to bring: Pen or pencil; notebook or sketchbook. A complete list of suggested materials will be discussed during the first class meeting.

What to wear: Clothes appropriate for messy creativity.
