Stamp, Stencil, Print! (Exploring Printmaking) (in person)

Create a variety of richly textured projects using combinations of painting and unconventional printmaking, while experimenting with materials, such as vegetables, plants, stencils and bubble wrap. Students design stamps using different methods, including carving, to adorn artworks. Uncover the history of print and pattern making, complete with a visit to the nearby Minneapolis Institute of Arts to look at prints and printed textiles from around the globe. Take home colorful print-paintings and an awesome collection of prints made by classmates. All prints will be on display for family and friends to enjoy at an art show on Friday afternoon!

Open to students ages 9–12. MCAD strictly adheres to these age guidelines and is unable to allow exceptions. Registration Deadline

If the minimum enrollment is not met by the deadline above, the class will be canceled on this date. Registration will remain open after this date if the minimum enrollment has been met.
