Preparing Proposals for Grants, Residencies, and Fellowships (online)

Get started in building professional materials for applying to grants and other art-related opportunities.

Explore the specifics of requests for proposals; including how to review all aspects of a given application process and guidelines provided by the organization leading the call for proposals. The individual artist's voice is critical to this process; participants are expected to make initial project narratives, artist statements, and proposal drafts intended for a particular opportunity. The course provides both instructor and group reviews and feedback of current artist statements, resumes, and proposals. Examples of writing in the course include: proposals, artist statements, and project narratives. Strategies and organizational practices are shared for the ongoing submission process by the artist for future grant opportunities. / Open to students ages 18 and above. View complete policies.
