Let’s Paint! Luscious Color and Fantastic Experiments (Exploring Painting) (in person)

Young artists are invited to join this class for a fun week of creating amazing paintings and go beyond the brush. Ages 9-12

Painting is a tool for experimentation and exploration in art by letting the processes guide the fun and creativity. In this class students explore painting techniques, color theory, shapes and textures, while pushing the boundaries with experimentation and questioning. Learn about past and current painters whose methods are unexpected and challenging, and participate in fun games and activities to strengthen creativity as a painter and an artist. At the end of the week, families and friends are invited to view the students’ work in a group exhibition.

Open to students ages 9–12. MCAD strictly adheres to these age guidelines and is unable to allow exceptions. Please review our complete Summer Youth Camps Policies as well as our General Policies before completing your registration. Covid policies and protocols and information about extended care options through Children's Theatre Company are included in the Summer Youth Camps Policies page.
