High Speed Art (Sculpture Art Inspired by Transportation) (in person)

Push the boundaries of imagination and create spaceships, cars, trains, boats, and more while also constructing landscapes for vehicles to travel across. For inspiration, students learn about different artists that include transportation and imaginative landscapes in their artwork. Engage with a variety of materials to construct and assemble three dimensional sculptures using paper mache techniques. Start by drawing and sketching as a brainstorming exercise, followed by making small clay models of the transportation themed sculptures. The week ends with a fun exhibition for families and friends to celebrate these artists and their speedy creations!

Open to students ages 6–9. MCAD strictly adheres to these age guidelines and is unable to allow exceptions. Registration Deadline

If the minimum enrollment is not met by the deadline above, the class will be canceled on this date. Registration will remain open after this date if the minimum enrollment has been met.
