Documenting Artwork at Home (online)

This class is a quick and accessible photography workshop for everyone–no previous experience required.

Learn how to use minimal equipment and everyday environments to take high quality images of artwork or products. From taking the picture to editing the image, leave this class with a foundation to take fast but high quality images for social media, submissions, or a portfolio. Images can be used for a creative practice, a business or a digital portfolio for a college admission application or a grant submission. / Open to students ages 16 and above. View complete policies.

Class meeting details

This online course is synchronous meaning students meet together online for class meetings via Zoom. The course schedule will include a two hour lecture and demo session, followed by an optional one hour Question and Answer session. There will not be hands-on activities or exercises in this course.

Required materials

Hardware
A computer, tablet, or smartphone with internet access, a camera, and a microphone for class meetings.

Supplies for the first class
Pen or pencil; notebook or sketchbook; optional smartphone or digital camera to follow lecture and demos.

Registration deadline

If the minimum enrollment is not met by the deadline above, the class will be canceled on this date. Registration will remain open after this date if the minimum enrollment has been met.
