Adventures in Video Game Design (Section 2) (in person)

Experience the world of video game design concepts in this hands-on class! Ages 9-12

Learn how to make your own video games using Scratch software. Learn fundamentals of game design, graphic design and software development. Students develop and create their own concepts to create a new game and study the art of making a great game. Draw and develop characters and settings, and add animation and sound effects. Students share the newly created games online and invite family and friends to play along. At the end of the week, families and friends are invited to the MCAD computer lab classroom to try out all the students’ video games.

Open to students ages 9–12. MCAD strictly adheres to these age guidelines and is unable to allow exceptions. Clothes appropriate for messy creativity.

What to bring
Please bring a snack each day. No nuts please.

If the minimum enrollment is not met by the deadline above, the class will be canceled on this date. Registration will remain open after this date if the minimum enrollment has been met.
