From When the Day Breaks.

Wendy Tilby and Amanda Forbis' collaborations include the animated short When the Day Breaks, which received the Cannes Palme d'or for Best Short Film and an Academy Award nomination among its many honors.

Tilby and Forbis studied film at Vancouver's Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design and are experienced educators themselves: Tilby has taught at Harvard University and Montreal's Concordia University, while Forbis leads animation workshops for children. They are currently working together on a film for the National Film Board titled Wild Life.
